ADMIN FEE FOR BUYERS & LICENSE FEE & RATES The successful buyer will be required to pay an initial admin fee for ownership of the hut to East Suffolk Council which is £656.67 including VAT however this fee will include the licence fee (up to 31st March 2022).
The standard license fee for 2021/22 is £414.42 + VAT. If the beach hut measures in excess of 2.43m in depth x 2.13m in width an oversize fee is applicable which is £394.73 + VAT which is a total of £809.15 + VAT.
The standard license fee for 2022/23 is £425.82 + VAT. If the beach hut measures in excess of 2.43m in depth x 2.13m in width an oversize fee is applicable which is £405.59 + VAT which is a total of £831.40 + VAT.
The standard license fee for 2023/24 is £437.53 + VAT. If the beach hut measures in excess of 2.43m in depth x 2.13m in width an oversize fee is applicable which is £416.74 which is a total of £854.27 + VAT.
NON-DOMESTIC RATES
At present there is a 100% relief on beach huts however this relief is only applicable if a purchaser is not already claiming "small business rate relief" on a small business. If an applicant is not applicable to the relief the approximate cost per annum would be in the region of £200 - £250.
